Riverhead Public Library Director, Lisa Jacobs, recently thanked Senator LaValle and Assemblymen Fred Thiele and Marc Alessi for their efforts in securing $40,000 in state funds to support the library’s “green” practices. The funding was put toward the installation of solar panels, which will greatly improve the library’s energy efficiency. Riverhead Library employs several energy saving and environmentally friendly procedures and encourages patrons to adopt “green” lifestyles at home.Newsroom
