During these difficult economic times many New Yorkers are experiencing job loss and problems with locating jobs.  In order to alleviate some of the anxiety associated with the job search, I am directing constituents to the New York State Department of Civil Service website.  Please follow the  link, which will take you directly to the main site: http://www.cs.state.ny.us/

The Department of Civil Service offers New Yorkers the opportunity for employment in a variety of fields with local and state government.  Additionally, the site offers information on how to register for the Civil Service exams, which also assist in employment.

My office will also be hosting job fairs for  employment seekers in the district.  The first of which, will be held on  Tuesday, August 3rd at Brighton Heights Reformed Church Community Center on Staten Island 320 St. Marks Place, SI, NY 10301 from 10am – 3pm.  More information will soon be up on the website
