State Senator Hugh T. Farley (R, C, I - Schenectady) met with representatives from the Schenectady Community Action Program's Career Readiness Program (also known as the Displaced Homemaker Program) on Feb. 22nd in Albany. The Career Readiness Program assists individuals to land gainful employment and succeed in the workplace. Career Readiness began in 1978 as the Displaced Homemaker Program and targeted mid-life and older women. In 1995, the services were expanded to eligible men and women of all ages.
