State Senator Hugh T. Farley (R, C, I - Schenectady) and the Catholic Charities Family Resource and Support Center hosted a free Community and Family Wellness Day on April 9th at the Riverfront Center. Over 60 agencies and some 350 attendants were at the health fair. Senator Farley presents Family Resource and Support Center Director Amy L. Courtoies at the Wellness Day with a New York State Senate Citation proclaiming April as National Child Abuse Prevention Month. Agencies like the Family Resource and Support Center recognize April as a time to raise awareness about child abuse and encourage communities to support children.
