Friday over 200 participants, including 4 lucky job Brooklyn Residents who found work that day joined Senator Kevin Parker at his 3rd Annual Green Jobs Fair at the Flatbush YMCA.
“Green jobs are just like white collar or blue collar jobs, except they are designed to protect the environment,” said Senator Parker when speaking to workshop attendees. The Brooklyn lawmaker went on to say “The person who invents the silicone to go into solar panels will be the next Bill Gates because there is no source of energy more renewable than the sun and if the sun doesn’t shine we have problems.” to a laughing crowd.
