Senator Nozzolio recently attended the Patrick Penafeather Memorial Golf Tournament, which honors Patrick Penafeather, who passed away 20 years ago after battling meningitis. Patrick is remembered as a warm and caring young man and the annual golf tournament has raised thousands of dollars in college scholarships for young men and women. Senator Nozzolio, who also lost his nephew to meningitis, has been a strong advocate for meningitis education and research and was honored to take part in the event.
