
Honoring Former East Islip Fire Chief Francis Parkan for Sixty-Five Years of Dedicated Service

Francis Parkan, Past Chief of the East Islip Fire Department was presented with a Citation by Senator Owen H. Johnson in grateful recognition and deep appreciation of his sixty-five years of courageous and dedicated service as a member of the East Islip Fire Department. He was also honored for his unselfish and untiring efforts to make the community of East Islip a safer place to live.
Francis was honored at the Board of Fire Commissioners of the East Islip Fire District’s Annual Installation Dinner and Dance at Chateau la Mer in Lindenhurst on February 27, 2010.
