Sharon Hamilton (right), Vice President of Lutheran Senior Housing, and Deborah Robbins (left), Director Clinical & Sales Support for Advantage Home Telehealth, talk with Senator Young about some of the new monitoring features that are offered to residents at the new state-of-the-art senior living facilities at the Lutheran Social Services campus.

A new “Smartment” building was constructed to include 14 apartments with technology built into them that can help people remain independent and lead healthier lives.  The modern, one-bedroom apartments come with a touchpad-type computer system that will be used to help individuals stay ahead of their chronic health conditions, preventing more serious illness and hospitalizations.

Senator Young also toured the new addition to the Hultquist Place assisted living facility that  includes a new grand entrance with heated sidewalks and drop-off area. New living rooms in the facility feature a fire place, big-screen television and comfortable seating. In addition, a new convenient beauty shop was created. There also is a variety of new activity areas, computer stations, a library and a game room.
