Sinclairville 76ers
Catharine Young
March 2, 2012
Senator Catharine Young joined federal and county officials at a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate renovations made to the Sinclairville Firehall and Senior Center. The “Sinclairville 76ers” provide hot meals to 177 seniors at the Center, and deliver thousands of meals annually to homebound frail elderly. A $310,297 federal grant that was awarded through the state Housing Trust Fund brought the facility into compliance with the state building code.
Nutrition Services such as those at the Sinclairville Center are the largest program administered by the state Office for the Aging. Locally, many dedicated individuals deliver services.
