Community Tribute for Zurana Horton

Senator Adams attended the community tribute for Zurana Horton, mother of 13 who was shot to death in front of a Brooklyn Public School while saving her children from gunfire. "A SHERO From Around The Way" was the theme for the tribute, that was hosted by a committee of Brownsville residents, concerned citizens, clergy, friends and activists. There were a series of performances and tributes from creative young people and groups to commemorate her life.
