MEDIA ADVISORY--- COMMISSIONER RAY KELLY, COME VISIT OUR COMMUNITIES

NYS SENATOR ERIC ADAMS AND LEADERS OF BLACK AND LATINO ANTI-VIOLENCE GROUPS WILL INVITE POLICE COMMISSIONER KELLY TO WALK WITH THEM IN HIGH CRIME AREAS TO VIEW FIRST-HAND THE GRASSROOTS EFFORTS TO STOP VIOLENCE.

NYS Senator Eric Adams held a press conference at One Police Plaza with leaders of community-based anti-violence groups to respond to Commissioner Kelly's comments about Black leaders not doing enough to address violence in their communities.  Members of the group hand delivered an invitation to Commissioner Kelly to walk through high crime areas with grassroots anti-violence organizations to witness first-hand what local groups are doing to stop the violence in their communities.
