STATE LAW MAKERS CALLED ON MAYOR AND GOVERNOR TO ALLOCATE $50 MILLION DOLLARS TO LOCAL COMMUNITY BASED GROUPS THAT ARE FIGHTING TO END GUN VIOLENCE
NYS Senator Eric Adams and Assemblyman Karim Camara held a press conference at the scene of the most recent shooting involving multiple victims. Law makers called on Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Governor Andrew Cuomo to issue an emergency allocation of $50 million dollars to areas of the city and state that are experiencing high levels of gun violence. The money will go to resource starved local community based organizations that are fighting to end gun violence.
