This week in Albany, Senator Alesi visited an exhibit on distracted driving and spoke with New York State Troopers about the dangers of distracted driving. The exhibit included a car that was involved in a serious accident caused by distracted driving and has been signed by students who have pledged not to text and drive. Senator Alesi has been a strong proponent of initiatives aimed at increasing the safety of drivers and passengers, including sponsoring legislation on road rage, hands-free cell phone use, texting-while-driving, and Leandra’s Law.
