Earlier this morning, I had the privilege to speak at the dedication ceremony at the Twelve Corners Memorial Stone in Brighton. Herb Ross, who was a vital part of the Brighton community for so many years, received the honor of having his name added to the memorial stone. I had the pleasure of working with Herb throughout the years, both on my staff and in other capacities. Herb passed away earlier this year. He was a Korean War Army veteran who also served afterward in the Army Reserve, attaining the rank of major. He volunteered for six decades at Temple B’rith Kodesh and twice served as president of the Brighton Chamber of Commerce. Herb also worked for a long time at Daw Drug Co., then as an insurance agent. I am pictured with my daughter and members of Herb's family.
