Geneva- Senator Mike Nozzolio recently had the honor to present Anthony “Pete” Petrucci with a special New York State flag that was flown over the State Capitol in recognition of his outstanding service to our Nation. Pete served in combat during World War II, where he saw hundreds of his fellow soldiers lose their lives on Omaha Beach and the Battle of the Bulge. Pete to this day carries a photo of him with a fellow soldier who gave the ultimate sacrifice, and lost his life in one of those battles. Pete received the Presidential Citation on three different occasions and was awarded six battle stars for his bravery and courage under enemy fire.
