(ALBANY, New York) Senators Tony Avella and Lee Zeldin officially signified the opening of the 2012 New York State Senate session as they marched into the full New York State Assembly Chambers today and announced to the Speaker of the Assembly, Sheldon Silver, that the New York State Senate had returned for the new year.
Avella and Zeldin were designated by a resolution, passed unanimously by the Senate, officially notifying them that they had been designated by the Senate to deliver the message.
