Going Door-to-Door to Provide Claim Forms for Roberts-Class Members
Brad Hoylman
May 9, 2013
The Stuyvesant Town-Peter Cooper Village Tenants Association (ST-PCV TA) recently announced that approximately 5,400 current or former tenants who were illegally charged market rate rents for their apartments have not filed the requisite claim forms, which must be postmarked by May 15, in order to be reimbursed from the J-51 Roberts case settlement.
This week, Senator Hoylman joined Councilmember Dan Garodnick, Assembly Member Brian Kavanagh and the ST-PCV TA in providing information regarding claims to current tenants who have yet to submit them. Any eligible tenant who has yet to submit a claim form will be provided with a personalized letter containing information from the Claim Administrator on how to submit their claim and receive their settlement reimbursement. Please see the flyer below for more information.
