Senator Adams states:
"The mail is a critical government service--and every Brooklynite has a right to receive letters and parcels in a timely manner, no matter what neighborhood you live in. When we start letting zip code determine whether or not you get the mail, we've lost. If mail carriers feel they need extra protection in higher-crime areas, then let's work to do that. In the meantime, they should re-read their motto: "gloom of night " should not stop "these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed round."
