On March 5th, the New York State Library Association held a Lobby Day and Rally in Albany with the priorities of gaining support for public libraries and restoring funding. State Senator Hugh T. Farley (R, C, I - Schenectady) attended both the rally and the meeting held in the Well of the Legislative Office Building. Senator Farley has been a longtime supporter of libraries and is the current Chair of the Senate Select Committee on Libraries. "I am proud to have been a lifelong advocate for libraries, and will continue my efforts to assist them in meeting the needs of the public," Senator Farley said.
