State Senator Hugh T. Farley (R – Schenectady) had the pleasure of meeting James McIntyre of Long Lake, an honoree from his district at the 2013 Senior Citizens Recognition Day on May 7th at the Capitol. The event is hosted by the State Office for the Aging and recognizes older volunteers for their service to fellow New Yorkers. Senator Farley also had the pleasure of recognizing the recipient in the Senate Chamber during Session. Mr. McIntyre severed his country with honor in the Army and is an active member and former Commander of the Long Lake American Legion. He contributes his time to Warren-Hamilton Counties Community Action, Hamilton County Council of Senior Citizens, and the Office for the Aging Advisory Council. He also volunteers daily for the home-delivered meals programs, and provides other seniors with rides to medical appointments.
