State Senator John A. DeFrancisco participated in a groundbreaking ceremony at Mercy Health and Rehabilitation Center's Auburn campus on October 7, 2013. During the event, Senator DeFrancisco, and other elected officials, spoke about the merger of Mercy and the Cayuga County Nursing Home. A renovated facility is expected to open early next year.
