(ALBANY)–  On Monday, March 4, 2013 state Sen. Malcolm Smith (D-St. Albans) participated in a roundtable discussion in Albany on performance enhancing drugs among student athletes. Also in attendance were Sen. Jeff Klein and retired baseball player Jose Canseco. The purpose of the meeting was to highlight solutions and concerns surrounding over-the-counter workout supplements among young people, including how to protect New Yorkers from these products, and ensuring consumers are aware of the dangers surrounding supplements.
