Webster- Senator Mike Nozzolio recently joined members of the Webster community in honoring Officer Mark Reed for his recognition by Governor Andrew Cuomo as the New York State Police Officer of the Year. Officer Reed was honored for his heroic actions in saving the lives of his fellow first responders who were on the scene during the Christmas Eve ambush and fire that killed two West Webster Firefighters and seriously injured two others. The Police Officer of the Year Award was created in 1983 to recognize a single police officer, or team of officers, for an exceptional act of valor representing the service of police in New York State.
