
Senator Nozzolio honors Jim Lewis upon receiving the 2013 Henry C. Welles Award

Waterloo- Senator Mike Nozzolio recently presented Jim Lewis with a special New York State Resolution that he prepared and enacted in the New York State Legislature to honor him for his designation as the recipient of the 2013 Henry C. Welles Award by the Waterloo Library and Historical Society. The Henry C. Welles Award is given annually to a resident of Waterloo, who through their community involvement and activism has made the Village a better place to live. Henry C. Welles was a Waterloo resident who organized the first ever observance of Memorial Day in May of 1866.
