The name of Constable Volunteer Firefighter Timothy “Benny” Lamere was added to the Fallen Firefighters Memorial Wall at the Empire State Plaza in Albany on Tuesday, October 7, 2014. Lamere died August 21, 2012, at the age of 47, of a heart attack following a rigorous training session teaching firefighters to escape structures using a rappeling technique.
