On June 2, 2014, I wrote to the New York City Department of Transportation’s Manhattan Borough Commissioner asking that the planned West Village Slow Zone be expanded one block east to encompasses the many schools and institutions serving youth and senior citizens between 6th and 7th Avenues and West Houston and West 11th Streets.
