Meeting Veterans at Hell's Kitchen Residential Treatment Program
Brad Hoylman
August 28, 2014
On August 27, I toured Samaritan Village's 43rd Street Veterans Residential Program, a 48-bed facility providing 6-12 months of rehabilitation for veterans struggling with addiction, and specialized treatment programs for homeless veterans and those with co-existing mental health disorders, including post-traumatic stress disorder. After the tour, I had the privilege of talking to the residents, who fought for us in Iraq, Afghanistan, Vietnam and other theaters of war, and thanking them for their service.
