Statement by Senator Hoylman on ST/PCV Tenants Association’s MCI settlement with CW Capital
Brad Hoylman
April 17, 2014
“I applaud TA President John Marsh, Chair Susan Steinberg, and attorney Tim Collins for their hard work to achieve the most favorable outcome for all ST-PCV tenants. As a result of their efforts, tenants will obtain significant relief from the recent onslaught of MCI charges -- potentially thousands of dollars per household. This settlement highlights the need for the state to heed our call to provide additional funding to the Office of Rent Administration to ensure that MCI orders will not languish in bureaucratic limbo so that tenants will not be met with a similar wave of MCI charges in the future.”
