Senator Farley participated in the filming of a documentary on the history of Parkhurst Field in Gloversville. Senator Farley also took a tour of the facilities, noting he secured a legislative grant that helped build the clubhouse for the Gloversville Little League that also houses the Parkhurst Field Museum.
Parkhurst Field is the oldest baseball field used by Little Leagues in the United States. Baseball has been played since 1906, and was home to Professional baseball accommodating up to 1500 spectators who saw such illustrious players as Hall of Fame greats, Honus Wagner and Cy Young. A rail line passed right by the exhibition games at the park over the years.
