Senator Bonacic hosted a Senate Task Force Forum on Heroin and Opioid Addiction on May 9. The Senator thanks the distinguished panelists: District Attorney, James Farrell, Sheriff Michael Schiff; Joseph Todora from SC Community Services; Public Health Director, Nancy McGraw; Dr. Carlos Holden from Catskill Regional Medical Center; Nick Roes from New Hope Manor; Izetta Briggs-Bolling from The Recovery Center; Nolly Climes from Rehab Support Services; BOCES Superintendent Larry Thomas; Captain Jamie Kaminski from the NYS Police; and Pete Lazier who lost his son due to heroin use. There were many questions from the audience, and all the remarks were helpful as the Senate Task Force meets to create legislature that will battle against this epidemic.
