On July 22, 2014, Senator Bonacic met with officials from the Sullivan County Towns of Delaware, Callicoon, and the Village of Jeffersonville, as well as representatives from the DEC to discuss flood damage from recent storms. The discussions included asking Governor Cuomo to help fund repairs to county infrastructures, work with the DEC to conduct stream maintenance to minimize flooding; look into ways to be more prepared for these storms before they come, rather than after
