
Senator Nozzolio speaks at the Geneva Veterans Day ceremony

Geneva- Senator Mike Nozzolio was the guest speaker for the Geneva Veterans Day ceremony where he honored our Nation’s veterans and paid tribute to their service. Senator Nozzolio emphasized that Veterans Day serves as a powerful reminder that our freedom comes at a cost and is paid for with the courage, valor and sacrifice of the men and women who serve and who have served in our military. No nation in history of the world has ever done more or given more in the defense of freedom that the United States and its citizens. Donald Barton, a United States Army veteran, also spoke at the ceremony about his days as a bomber pilot in World War II. Don’s plane was shot down over Germany in June 1944 and crashed in Austria. Don was a prisoner of war (POW) for 11 months before being liberated in May 1945.
