State Senator Patty Ritchie visited Bittersweet Farm in Heuvelton recently, to talk with its owners about what can be done to support our region’s hardworking farmers.
Owned by Brian and Ann Bennett, Bittersweet Farm is an award-winning, Certified Organic farm. Topics discussed with Senator Ritchie, who chairs the Senate Agriculture Committee, included her “Young Farmers NY” program, which aims to address our state’s aging farmer population, cutting red tape for farmers and promoting healthy eating habits.
