Today I spoke and answered questions at the Dutchess County Coalition on Elder Abuse's monthly meeting at the Mediation Center of Dutchess County. In my first term in the State Senate I have been proud to support additional funding for elder abuse prevention as well as legislation such as the Uniform Adult Guardianship and Protective Proceedings Jurisdiction Act that includes new safeguards to combat elder abuse.
