Partnerships for Peace

Today is #PeaceDay. In addition to being a chance for world leaders to recognize the importance of peace, today offers everyone a chance to reflect and take action for peace in our communities. Peace Day 2015’s theme is “Partnerships for Peace – Dignity for All,” a theme that resonates with me given the recent violence in our community. It will take strong partnerships, city, state, and federal, community groups large and small, and people of goodwill of all ethnicities, faiths, and ages to get the peace we deserve. We will build on the Prayer Vigil and last week’s Peace Over Violence March. You can join our United Against Violence Task force here and take action for peace in our community.
