State Senator John A. DeFrancisco is pictured at the Opening Ceremony of the 2015 World Indoor Lacrosse Championship, which was held on September 18th at the War Memorial Building in Syracuse.  The Championship is the first ever international sporting event held on Indigenous lands. Thirteen nations will compete for the championship September 18-27, 2015, at the Onondaga Nation. The final games will be played at the Carrier Dome.  

During the WIL Opening Ceremony, Senator DeFrancisco presented a New York State Senate Resolution to help celebrate the occasion.
