
Senator Nozzolio addresses students, parents and faculty at the 28th annual Midlakes Primary School Memorial Day celebration

Clifton Springs- Senator Mike Nozzolio recently addressed students, parents and faculty at the 28th annual Midlakes Primary School Memorial Day celebration where he praised the efforts of our Nation’s veterans and members of our Armed Services here and abroad. Senator Nozzolio commended the students for their understanding of the importance of Memorial Day and the sacrifices that our veterans have made to preserve the freedoms we enjoy as American citizens. Senator Nozzolio also made special recognition of Leigh Smith, a World War II veteran who began his Navy career at Sampson Naval Training Base in Romulus. The Naval Base is now the home of the Sampson Veterans Memorial Cemetery where over 250 veterans and their spouses are laid to rest.
