Ortt Visits The Summit Center
Robert G. Ortt
August 10, 2015
Since Senator Ortt has taken on the role of the Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Committee Chairman, he’s been passionate about fighting for those who are most vulnerable. On Monday, he had a humbling experience during his visit to The Summit Center’s Amherst location. He met Samantha and Andrew, who turned 18 that day and greeted the Senator with a high-five. Senator Ortt sat down with passionate family members and listened to their concerns. Their similar stories and individuals like Sam and Andrew are what make the Senator eager to get back to Albany and fight to make housing, access to care and other services for those with intellectual and developmental disabilities a top priority.
