CARMEL, NY—Senator Sue Serino (R, C, I—Hyde Park) joined countless community members in Carmel on Saturday, May 30, 2015, to help the Putnam County Joint Veterans Council and the Putnam County Veterans Service Agency unveil their much anticipated Purple Heart Monument. Putnam County was the first in New York to earn the distinction of ‘Purple Heart County’ and has erected a monument in the Veterans’ Park to honor and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
