Quality Healthcare for Brooklyn
Jesse Hamilton
December 16, 2016

I joined colleagues today at Howard Houses in the wake of a tragic fire to support the families impacted, to thank the first responders, and to speak out for creating a burn unit in Brooklyn. Were Brooklyn an independent city, it would be the 4th largest in the nation. Given the size of Brooklyn's population and the travel time to the existing New York City burn units, it is time for public health authorities to create a dedicated burn unit in Brooklyn. We need our healthcare system to respond to the challenges Brooklynites face. Working with colleagues, I am confident we can bring the burn unit Brooklyn needs into reality.
