Really important that community and police work together to implement the #WeAreJouvert Action Plan for Public Safety and Community Outreach. Key elements include cross-community engagement, outreach, and partnerships between anti-violence community groups, leaders, and clergy, and local police. Taking these proactive measures together will permit a safe, enjoyable celebration for all. Thanks to Brooklyn Borough President Eric L. Adams, Commissioner William Bratton, the Mayor's Community Affairs Unit and all community partners engaged in this work.
