(Albany, NY)-Senator John J. Bonacic (R/C/I-Mt. Hope), Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, released the following statement regarding the confirmation of Michael Garcia as an Associate Justice of the Court Appeals. Mr. Garcia is filling the vacant seat of Judge Susan Reid, who retired.

“I want to congratulate Michael Garcia on his confirmation as an Associate Justice of the NYS Court of Appeals,” said Senator Bonacic. “Mr. Garcia’s depth of legal experience, and his knowledge of the law will serve him well in his new role. I wish him much success as a new member of the Court.”
