Heard from jurists, advocates, educators, & neighbors on all aspects of Raise the Age legislation today. A variety of important topics were brought to the fore by witnesses including: instituting additional helpful early interventions, supporting New York's mental health infrastructure, and building a more humane, compassionate, and just system for all New Yorkers.

Special thanks to the witnesses who traveled from Brooklyn specifically to present their testimony to us, particularly Lywan Reed who shared his personal experience of facing the adult justice system as a teenager.
