Great meeting with Jonnel Doris, Senior Advisor and Director of NYC Mayor's Office of M/WBEs, this afternoon. Both the City and the State have goals with respect to M/WBE contracting and it is critical to work together to step up our outreach, connect small businesses with new opportunities, and encourage entrepreneurship across New York. Economic empowerment is a key theme of my Senate Banks Committee work and I am always glad to link up with leaders across government and industry to make a vision for a more economically inclusive New York a reality.
