February 22, 2017
(Albany, NY)- Senator John J. Bonacic (R/C/I-Mt. Hope) is pleased to announce that the Town of Mount Hope will be awarded a $50,000 grant for the purchase of a road mower for the town’s Highway Department. The funding was secured through the State and Municipal Facilities Program, and the money was appropriated in the 2016-2017 State Budget.
“This grant will allow the Town of Mount Hope to purchase a road mower that will improve operations at the Town Highway Department,” said Senator Bonacic. “In addition to helping the Highway Department keep the town clean, it will also save the town’s taxpayers money.”
Town of Mount Hope Supervisor Chad Volpe said, "The Town of Mount Hope is pleased to receive this $50,000 grant and I thank Senator Bonacic for all of his efforts. The money will help ensure that the Highway Department has the necessary equipment to continue it's mission of serving our residents."
