(Albany, NY)- State Senator John J. Bonacic (R/C/I-Mt. Hope) is pleased to announce that he has been appointed to serve on the 2017 General Budget Conference Committee as an alternate. The General Budget Conference Committee is made up of 15 members in the Assembly and Senate is tasked with negotiating the final budget details with both houses of the legislature and the Governor’s office.

In addition, Senator Bonacic has been appointed to serve on two joint budget subcommittees, Public Protection/Criminal Justice/Judiciary as well as Economic Development.

“I’m pleased to serve on these committees that will allow me to have direct say on the final budget that we pass this year,” said Senator Bonacic. “My colleagues in the Republican Conference are committed to once again producing an on-time budget that truly meets the needs of all New Yorkers.”
