(Middletown, NY)- State Senator John J. Bonacic (R/C/I-Mt. Hope) was pleased to attend the Center for Discovery’s Annual Harvest Festival at the Milligan Hill Equine Assisted Therapy Center yesterday in Harris. The event is held every year and includes an awards presentation as well as fall activities, farm tours, wine tasting, and a bountiful, locally sourced meal. This year’s honorees were New York State Attorney General Eric T. Schneiderman, who was presented with the Thomas P. Morahan Lifetime Achievement Award and Jon Bowermaster, an award winning journalist and author who was presented with the Green Shovel Award. The Center for Discovery is a nationally recognized not-for-profit provider of educational, health and residential services for children and adults with severe disabilities and medical frailties, including a growing number of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
