Rheyser Henry describes herself as someone who is humble and passionate about serving her community. The oldest of five, Ms. Henry has always been family oriented and has exhibited leadership skills at a young age. In 2012, after graduating from St. Joseph High School, she decided to join the United States Navy. Ms. Henry did two tours while in service: Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Inherent Resolve.
Ms. Henry is well traveled and has visited many countries, including Israel, Greece, Dubai, Bahrain, Oman, Turkey and France. In 2017, she decided to leave the Navy to further her education and return to her Brooklyn community. There, Ms. Henry enjoys painting abstract art and creating portraits and figure art. She developed her love for art as a young child, but never imagined her passion growing into what it is today.
Ms. Henry currently works as an intern for State Senator Kevin Parker, an opportunity she secured through the non-profit, Opportunity for A Better Tomorrow. She is actively working on her entrepreneurship goals and is looking forward to attending Baruch College in Fall 2018.
