Dear Neighbor,
Since the early 2000s, families, retirees and young professionals have left
our state in record numbers. They leave in search of better opportunities
and a more affordable life.
This has to change.
That is why I am working with my colleagues in the Senate to make New
York State a more affordable place to live, work, raise a family and retire.
Our “Blueprint for a Stronger New York” would:
• Cut and Cap Property Taxes;
• Reduce Energy Costs;
• Lower Income Taxes; and
• Enact Reforms to Control Spending and Stop Tax Increases.
By laying out an aggressive pro-taxpayer agenda in this year’s Budget,
I hope the Governor and Assembly will see how important it is we
keep hold of the hard-working residents of this state and reverse this
trend of out-migration.
Respectfully yours,
Rob Ortt
