March 16, 2018
Dear Student’s
Thank you for your expressive contribution to my New York State Senate’s “Black History Month Art Celebration”. The Art Celebration received outstanding artwork that exemplify the expressive creativity of the young people in the 39th. Senate District.
Each of the entries displayed tremendous originality and vision in capturing the essence of what Black History Month meant to them and their communities and our state. I am proud of your work and encourage you to continue to study and learn more about individuals that helped contribute to Black History and its impact on our society.
I would like to offer my wholehearted congratulations to all of you that participated. I also want to say thank you to your family, and teachers, whose dedication and involvement provided the encouragement for you to be creative and participate in this art celebration.
Sincerely,
Senator William J. Larkin, Jr.
